Family 358
This family has been navigating severe hardship while experiencing homelessness and searching for stability. Their situation became even more traumatic this summer when one of the children was shot in a community incident. Despite the gravity of this experience and their unstable living conditions, he continues to attend school regularly, showing remarkable perseverance and a desire to learn. Now in 5th grade, he is only beginning to build basic reading and writing skills due to years of disruption, yet he approaches learning with kindness, curiosity, and steady growth.
His mother is doing everything she can to support her children while managing the ongoing instability affecting their daily lives. The family carries emotional and practical burdens that would overwhelm most people, yet they do not complain and rarely ask for anything. Adopting them for Christmas would provide more than gifts—it would offer comfort, encouragement, and the reassurance that their community sees them, values them, and cares about their future.
