Shannon uprooted her entire life the moment she learned her grandchildren and niece were being exposed to unimaginable trauma. She packed her belongings and moved to Sacramento overnight to get the children to safety.

Since then, she has fought tirelessly to rebuild stability for all four children. She secured employment, attends ongoing court hearings to obtain legal guardianship, and enrolled the kids in counseling as they struggle to process the confusion and betrayal they endured. Shannon is pouring every emotional, financial, and physical ounce of herself into protecting them and giving them the childhood they deserve.
