This family moved here to be close to Sarah’s brother. Soon after their arrival, he was struck and killed in a car accident. The sudden loss devastated the entire family and sent Sarah into a difficult depression as they tried to make sense of their new life without him. Their grief sits alongside the daily pressure of raising four children with almost no support system.

They work opposite shifts, dad during the day and mom at night, just to keep a roof over their heads. Even with their hard work, money is extremely tight, and there are times when they cannot afford food or any extras for the kids. They live together in a small one-bedroom apartment and go without so much, but their home is filled with love and effort. What they need most this holiday season is relief, encouragement, and a reminder that their community sees them during an incredibly painful time.
