Family 352
This family has walked through years of hardship, most notably chronic homelessness, while their mother remained steadfast in her determination to keep her children safe, housed, and in school. After participating in a temporary hotel shelter program and tirelessly advocating for her family, they were recently approved for their own apartment, marking the first time in a long while that they can truly call a place home. Even through instability, she never stopped fighting for her children’s needs, including ensuring proper evaluations and support services for her child with special needs and maintaining strong communication with the school.
Their challenges have not ended. The mother is currently unemployed and caring for her own mother, who moved in after being injured in a serious hit-and-run accident and now requires ongoing care. With extremely limited income and the emotional toll of constant transitions, the family continues to push forward with resilience and hope. A visit from Santa would bring joy and comfort during their very first Christmas in their new apartment and offer a moment of celebration after years of struggle and perseverance.
