Family 349 - Ella

Family 349

This family has carried an overwhelming load this past year. Mom stays home full time to care for the children as well as her mother, leaving Dad as the only earner for a busy household of six kids. They have struggled with housing instability for several years, and just last month the entire family was in a car accident on the way to school. Although the injuries were minor, the medical follow-ups and car repairs added pressure to an already fragile situation. As this nomination is being written, one of the younger children is currently in the hospital with a health concern, adding even more emotional and financial strain to a family that has already endured so much.

What makes this family remarkable is the way they continue moving forward with kindness, gratitude, and resilience. Mom ensures the children get to school every day and shows up for them even when she is exhausted and overwhelmed. The children are close, supportive of one another, and genuinely a joy to be around. They never ask for anything, yet they are always deeply appreciative of any help offered. More than physical items, this family would benefit from relief, encouragement, and a moment of joy after such a difficult year. A holiday visit from Santa would remind them that they are seen, supported, and not alone as they continue working to rebuild their stability and peace.
